• All appointments are now via telephone triage - 02890 401844

  • Please phone before 11am to speak to a doctor who will assess your needs and arrange an appointment on the same day, if appropriate

In order to protect our staff and most vulnerable patients we have taken the decision to suspend online booking and routine appointments with GPs, Nurses and Pharmacists until further notice. Our phonelines remain open and we are continuing to deal with routine concerns on a daily basis. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated.

The doctors and nurses are available for consultation by appointment only. These should be made on line, by telephone or in person at reception.

Routine appointments may be made up to four weeks ahead with the doctor or nurse of your choice.

Routine appointments are of ten minutes duration and we do our best to run to time. If you have a lot of things to discuss with the doctor, he or she may ask you to make a second appointment, this is done in consideration of other patients waiting.

Routine appointments can be booked and cancelled online via the link at the top of this page

Please click here for more information on the registration process for on line access.

CVGP is an accredited training practice for GP Vocational Trainees and we often have a trainee GP (who are fully qualified doctors with previous experience in hospital or general practice) available for consultation.

Triaged Appointments

If you have a medical problem which you feel cannot wait until the next available appointment, after you have spoken to the receptionist you will be entered into the triage system and a doctor will contact you the same day to discuss it.  It will be necessary for reception staff to ask some medical details.

A specific doctor cannot be requested in this case.

Telephone Appointments

A number of telephone appointments are available after every morning surgery.  If you wish to schedule a telephone appointment please speak to the receptionist.  Alternatively the receptionist can liaise with the doctor on your behalf.

Braniel Surgery

Our Braniel Branch Surgery is open three days per week for consultation by appointment only.

Appointments can be made by calling in person during or by telephone through the Cherryvalley number 02890 401844. There is no separate phone number for Braniel Surgery.

Medical Students:

We are an accredited teaching practice and regularly have medical students from Queen's University and Imperial College London. As far as possible we try to advise if a student will be present when an appointment is booked. If you do not wish a student to be involved with your consultation, please let us know in advance and we are happy to respect this.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment to someone else.  Please note Cherrvalley Group Practice have a DNA Policy in place (did not attend).
