The way you access the GP has changed!
We have replaced our booked appointment system with a telephone consultation system.
Please note there will be a limit to the number of daily telephone consultations. Once the daily limit has been reached, you will be requested to ring back the next working day.
Emergency calls will also be dealt with as appropriate.
Our phone lines are open from 8:30am
Prescriptions can be ordered by:
Telephone 02890 708680 (open 24hrs)
Online - contact reception on 02890 401844
CLOSED FOR LUNCH 1pm-2pm
June 2020 - Improvements To Help You Access The Team
Our repeat prescription direct line 02890 708680 is now available 24 hours a day
Access to repeat prescription line is no longer available through our main reception phone number (02890 401844). This reduces the call volume on this number, allowing more of you to get through to us.
From June 2020 you can email your repeat prescription request to us firstname.lastname@example.org You will receive an acknowledgement reply.
Most consultations with your GP are being conducted via telephone. In some cases we are using photographs or video software for consultations. You can read about this here
Click here to ask for a coronavirus test
Alternatively, symptomatic members of the public can book a test by calling the free phone number 119
You can ask for a coronavirus test:
- for yourself, if you have coronavirus symptoms now (a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste)
- for someone you live with, if they have coronavirus symptoms
The tests are not suitable for children under 5 years old.
If you're asking for a test for someone else and the person is aged 13 or over, check they're happy for you to ask for a test for them.
It's best to ask for the test in the first 5 days of having symptoms.
The test usually involves taking a swab of the inside of your nose and the back of your throat, using a long cotton bud.
There is another type of test (antibody test) that checks if you've already had the virus. This test is not available yet.
